A lifelong singer, Master director, Region 13 Music Faculty, chorus and quartet coach, and award-winning quartet and chorus singer, Sandy uses her Music Education degree to learn about and teach barbershop. From the risers to the front of the stage, Sandy's 35-years of barbershop experience includes mentorships with Ryan Heller, Betty Clipman, and Carole Persinger, among others. Sandy is currently the Assistant Director and in-house coach for Pride of Portland Chorus, baritone in Twist! and she's singing in two other a cappella ensembles.

Her favorite barbershop moments are coaching and guest directing in Japan, and singing and directing at International competition!

Sandy works with quartets and small to medium-sized choruses on sound. music and expression in a collaborative, fast paced, energetic style. She teaches classes on basic music theory, breath management/control, barbershop history and more.
